To all Gwich'in supporters,

Please take a moment to use this toll free number to make a phone call to your Senators and Congressmen to express support to protect the Arctic Refuge and Gwich'in Human Rights.  We need the support now, we are in for the fight of our lives.  This issue is going to be debated through the budget bill.  We may have a vote in March on the budget.  Thank You, and please disseminate this toll free number far and wide to all your lists.

K'eegwaadhat Noohaa Ooli' ( May Creator Bless You)

The Arctic Action Hotline is a free, nationwide action hotline that gives activists an easy way to voice their support for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge by directly connecting them with their Congressional offices.  Incoming calls are greeted with a brief introduction providing information about the upcoming Congressional fight.  The caller is prompted to enter their zip code and is then directly connected to their Senator or Representative’s office with a message to either thank their Member or urge their Member to help in the fight for the Arctic Refuge.

The hotline is a community effort, it does not promote any organization, and congressional targets were chosen by community consensus. When activists call the Arctic Action hotline, they will also be given an option to leave personal data for purposes of sending a fax to their legislators.  In the past, this free national number has succeeded in getting record numbers of calls and faxes into Capitol Hill during the heart of the Arctic campaign.
