NATIVE YOUTH FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
The International Indian Treaty Council (IITC) invites
Bay Area Indian Youth to participate in our Bay Area Youth Mentorship

IITC is an Indian organization with along history of fighting for
human rights, land rights Treaty rights, Environmental Justice,
Cultural Rights, Prisoners Rights, Health, Racial Justice and many
others concerns of Indian communities here in Northern California,
around the country and the world.
The IITC's Youth Program, based in our San Francisco Office, offers
opportunities for Native youth to be come involved as concerned young
people and future leaders. You will learn about community organizing,
international human rights, office skills, computer communications,
public speaking, Indian struggles around the world and many skills
that can help you prepare for jobs, education and a role as an
activist and advocate for your communities.
Ways for you to become involved:
1) Summer internship positions for high school and college age
youth
2) Work-study positions for college students
3) Volunteer positions for young people of all ages
4) Research assignments for law students and graduate students
5) Becoming part of our Bay Area Indian youth Council, and taking
part in field trips, events and activities to learn more about our
cultures, struggles and rights as Native Peoples
Some of these are paid positions. We can also offer school credits,
work-study positions and many new opportunities to be part of
something that benefits our Peoples. We invite you to talk to us
